If two of these describe your case, both are right and the overlap is normal. A rideshare passenger hurt by a truck is a rideshare case and a truck case, and the practical difference is which insurance policies apply. Common questions

How do I know which practice area my case belongs in?

Start with the event, not the injury. A herniated disc from a rear-end crash is a car accident case; the same disc from a fall in a supermarket is a premises case, and the two are proven with completely different evidence. If your situation spans two, read both pages. If none of them fits what happened to you, call (424) 235-7879 and describe it. Naming the case correctly is our job.

Do these pages apply outside Los Angeles?

The law described on them is California law, so it applies statewide. What changes from county to county is where the case is filed, which court hears it, and which local rules apply. Josh Kohanim is licensed in California only, so nothing here applies to a claim in another state. The city pages we publish are listed on the locations page.

Is the fee different for a truck case than for a slip and fall?

The promise is the same everywhere on this site: no fee unless we recover. The percentage in any contingency case is set by your written fee agreement, not by statute, and Business and Professions Code section 6147 requires that agreement to state the rate and to say the fee is negotiable (leginfo.legislature.ca.gov). The one statutory exception is medical malpractice, capped by section 6146.

What if I am not sure my case is worth pursuing?

That is the normal state of mind two weeks after an accident, and it is a good reason to ask rather than guess.
